Love Notes

There isn’t anything I like more than receiving love notes from my hubby. Especially when he’s away on a business trip. They totally make my day. I have an entire collection since the time we were just friends (only friends). It’s pretty neat to see how our tunes have change from a simple take care sister to an I love you, honey ;) However there is a greater love note that I often times neglect-that is the Bible. There are passages in the Bible that’ll melt your heart. I love my God he is so passionately in love with me in the purest sense of the term in a way I am still trying to figure out and will continue to through out eternity. Here are some passages you can share with a loved one :)

Song of Solomon 8:6
“Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame.” (NIV)

Song of Solomon 8:7
“Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away. If one were to give all the wealth of his house for love, it would be utterly scorned”. (NIV)

Deuteronomy 7:9

“Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands”.

Kwerner Color Inspiration #53

This weeks color inspiration at Kwerner’s is very cute. Anthonette’s little boy is in the image and he’s holding a small toy robot (that’s where the color combo comes from). Inspired by the image I created a little robot card myself suitable for a birthday boy who’s turning six.

Little kids are so fun I have a 2 year old little girl and she is the apple of my eyes. Everyday I try my best to enjoy every bit I can with her because next thing you know she’ll be graduating from High School and away she’ll go to fulfill her call (that’s what experienced moms tell me and I take their counsel seriously).

Hope you have a lovely day full of laughter, joy, meaning and love. You deserve every bit :0)

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge 7

Another RSCC!! I love this weeks color selection. This card was totally inspired by the pic Dawn posted for the actual challenge. When I was gathering my materials to work on this little project I knew I had to create a flower of some sort. And this is what I came up with!! I hope you like my simple nature card :0)

Cardstock: PTI’s Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado & Raspberry Fizz

Stamps: PTI’s Guide Line 1, Mixed Messages, Boxes, Bags & Tags

Ink: PTI’s Spring Moss, Adirondack Lettuce, Frayed Burlap (for distressing)

PTI's Blog Hop Challenge

I created this card for the blog hop hosted by Papertrey Ink. The challenge was to create anything using yellow as the main color or focal point. Yellow is an awesome summer color and today I used it as a background and with PTI yellow cardstock and ripe avocado I created a daffodil.

**The orange strip is ink applied with a sponge (tape made the straight edge)** ;)

Cardstock: PTI’s Aqua Mist, Lemon Tart, Ripe Avocado

Stamps: PTI’s Guide Lines 1, Green Thumb

Ink: Palette Water Lily Green, Orangerie, Paris Light

Blessings to Mothers

I know Mother’s day is long gone-but don’t we say Mother’s day is everyday? With that in mind here is a card I made in honor of motherhood. I thought I’d share some little nuggets of wisdom from scripture and other inspirational authors:

“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted...”

-Isaiah 66:13

“Your compassionate Redeemer is watching you with love and sympathy, ready to hear your prayers, and to render you the assistance which you need. He knows the burdens of every mother’’s heart and is her best friend in every emergency.”

-S.T. White

“Mother is the name for God in the lips and hearts of little children.”

William Makepeace Thackeray

“God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers.”
- Jewish proverb

Have a wonderful day :)

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge 9

Oh, how fun!! I haven’t participated in a RSCC in a while. I must say I would have never put these colors together if it where not for Dawn’s inspiration. And what’s best is that I actually love the way these colors compliment each other.

** The heart embellishment is randomly hand cut**

It’s been too long since I’ve posted anything on this blog. I have truly been busy. I do miss all the card challenges and the back and forth e-mails :0) Hopefully I’ll be consistent again. I have quite a few projects that I want to share throughout this week. Todays card in particular is a commemoration to the wonderful little strawberry. This little one is from Papertrey Ink Stamp Set Green Thumb. Aren’t these the cutest. I love this card because it looks very rustic and organic.
